1st Stage : NSF Filmtec 5 micron 10″ high-capacity polypropylene sediment filter —removes dust, particles, and rust
2nd Stage : NSF Extruded Carbon Block 5 micron 10″ —gets rid of unpleasant chlorine, tastes and odors, cloudiness and colors.
3rd Stage : NSF Extruded Carbon Block 5 micron 10″ —removes any residual chlorine, tastes and odors, plus compounding pre-filters’ efficiency and extending membrane’s life.
4th Stage : Filmtec (Dow Chemical) High Rejection TFC reverse osmosis membrane .0001 micron — heart of the r.o. system, produces drinking water at a rate of 45 gallons per day (at 60psi and 77F.)
5th Stage : Total Polishing Carbon 10″ —removes any possible residual tastes and odors from the tank

Domestic Reverse Osmosis Installation Guide
Reverse Osmosis Membranes allow only water to pass through them. Salts and dissolved organic substances with higher molecular weight than 50 Dalton are retained almost without exception. The operating pressure use for reverse osmosis usually vary between 20 and 60 bar and in some cases can be over 80 bar.
